Responsibility to create a fearless society

When i was i think in 5th or 6th standard i read a story but it is etched in my mind ....
there was a sadhu who had a beautiful horse... the beauty and glamour of horse spread far and wide... the so called King of the state heard about it and approached the sadhu ...the sadhu said this is my child and i do not sell my child at any price... the king felt unhappy but wanted the horse badly .... so one day he posed as a beggar in need of medical help on the route of the sadhu's daily horse ride ... the sadhu empathized and got down from his horse and asked the beggar what his problem was ... the beggar said he is suffering and needs medical help but cannot walk .... the sadhu felt pity and let the beggar ride the horse and the sadhu walked besides so that he can take the beggar to nearest vaidh... the beggar taking the chance when the sadhu was unaware kicked the horse and started running away with the horse.... the sadhu shouted " come back please come back" ... the king (beggar) sensing victory came back and said " O Sadhu now that i have the horse i m not going to return it to you. i had offered you the price but you declined. and now i own the horse"
the sadhu replied " Son you can own the horse ... but my humble request .... please do not share this incidence with any body ... because if you do so people will stop believing in humanity and never help any person in distress.. and that for me would be a greater loss... "
what do you think the king did .... anybody's guess...
but what does our media today do...
spread fear and distress
quote unquote " India is the rape capital" statistically India does not figure in top 20 countries per population even when India is 2nd in population.
India is diabetes capital ... having 1/6 of the population in the world no doubts it will have 1/6th of the diseases
so and so called taxi services are bad ... no doubt if you have 100000 drivers 1 can be bad .... and that too is par below average to so called developed nations ..
the list goes endless .... today "business" is linked with fear...
people spend lakh's .. takes loans etc to protect their fears and that has become business today...
where is the responsibility towards building a fearless society as Rabindra Nath Tagore said in his poem ...
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high.......!!!

Think about it...!!!

One day Past Tense , Present Tense , Future Tense met and shared there experiences...
Present said gloomily "nothing is going right..." What about you Future...
Future replied "Nothing buddy everything looks dim and dull.."
both looked at Past.
He heaved a sigh and said "Those were the good days my friend .. I thought they would never end."
Perfect Progressive Tense was listening to them. He couldn't help himself.
He said.. "Buddies if you enjoy every moment of present and work towards your dream not only your past would have been good... YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN ENJOYING LIFE AT PRESENT AND IN FUTURE...!!!

They all replied "But this is 'CONDITIONAL' Perfect Progressive Tense."

"Yes either you live with your conditions or live in the conditions.. choice is yours....!!!" CPPT Replied

:P :) :D think about it...!!!

Writers Dilemma

Even as I write this I too, I must say suffer from what is commonly known as "writers dilemma".
I receive numerous enquiries as to suggest "budding writers" how to pen down their thoughts. They say they have very good ideas but don't know how to start start writing those thoughts. And I say wow you said it.

I remember some 3 years ago when I started writing. Well to be technically correct I used to write since childhood. I was an extrovert child packaged in an introvert casing, as you may say. So my shortcoming of not able to vocally express was compensated by my writings. Though I would never publish them... ( I told you na I was an introvert blockage ).

As time passed I became more and more confident and one day I thought why not express myself to the world. so I started writing in social media... ( thanks to social media, though with all their defects, they have the pluses.)

To cut short.. I started writing though not professionally. Just penned down my thoughts and slowly gained recognition. People started liking and my confidence grew.

Them can the turning point. My decision to write a book.

Now now ... writing a few lines and writing a book ... both are poles apart...!!!

I had great ideas ... I would sit for hours and would become more and more excited with my thoughts ... my thoughts became my obsessions ... but when it came down to penning down I just couldn't figure out where to start...!!!

But I had to start somewhere ... so I did the most obvious thing to do.... and that was ..... to start writing....!!!

Most of the "to be writers" die a premature death just because instead of having the end in mind they are paralyzed by the process...!!!

I read somewhere " Too much analysis leads to paralysis."

And I made up my mind to act rather than analyse...

I just wrote what I thought without bothering about whether it would make any sequence or sense... if I was sad I would write the sad part.. if I was happy I would write that part... and so on....!!!

And as I got involved in the process my momentum gained and the things became more and more clear and structured.... And what surprised me was new ideas poured in which I had never thought of when I started to write...!!!

I had started with the idea to write say 50 pages but as my passion grew... I found myself writing 100's of pages and by the time I had written 248 pages I had to actually stop writing... not because I was short of ideas, but because one, I didn't want to end up writing a saga... and secondly, I thought readers would get bored to death.... ( to my surprise I got reviews that once they started they didn't want to leave without completing )

Now why am I sharing this to all readers... only to motivate them to JUST START WRITING WITHOUT ANALYZING...

And I promise you once you do that you would soon find yourself getting more and more involved....

It is called " Being in the Zone "

Submit yourself to the "Zone" and "Zone" will take care of the rest....!!!

I still remember once I gave my book to one personality and he just went skipped through the pages and congratulated me. When I asked that why congratulate before reading he said .... my congratulation is for completing the book and getting it published... he himself had started writing the book but not completed it.....!!!

Just to summarize.....

Every one has a story to tell.... but few have the conviction to tell ... and lesser few to actually pen down.... it doesn't matter who will read or who will not.... for every writer there is a reader....!!!

If you have written a book then you are among-st 0.01% of worlds population and more so when you write your second book you would be 0.001% ...!!!

Don't you think its worth the effort...!!!

And the very thought gives me goosebumps... To live till eternity even when you die ... in the form of your writings......!!!

That's how "Count your Chicken Before You Lay Them" started and many more to come....!!!

Note: I am now facing writers dilemma for my second book and as I write this I am motivating myself to be in the 0.001%......!!!

Happy Writing......................................

Politics and me

since the elections are over i put across my feelings... speaking against any political party doesn't make me an ally to other party... i am a Modi fan but not a BJP fan... i respect Nehruji and other Congress leaders but i am not a congress fan... even i admire Arvind Kejriwal but i am not an AAP fan... my views as a citizen of India is i want people to realize their strength and presently i don't care whether AAP wins or not... not that i dont CARE ... what i mean to say is i am not emotionally stuck ... because if we need a good democratic country we should stop looking at political parties for good governance... democracy is "Government of the people .. by the people and for the people... mind it there is nowhere written "Kiski Sarkar" ... the day we realize our potential it would be really immaterial who wins... countries who progress today are the countries ruled by citizens and not rulers ... check it out for yourself....presently i don't know whether AAP wins or not... but i respect Arvind Kejriwal for one very big reason and that is as follows...

1)since child hood i was awed by films of AB and like where we see fighting corruption  and being hero ... i am sure we all grow up with ideals..
2)when we come into the real murky world we see lot of things going wrong .. giving bribe etc and i used to become frustrated
3) and then i realized that corruption starts from bottom as well as top ... people say the policeman takes bribe because he is poorly paid ... but even a peon is poorly paid and NOT ALL PEONS ARE CORRUPT.. so why does a police constable become corrupt even if he is honest... because his immediate boss is corrupt and demands money collection... so the chain goes on till top where the politicians sit... NOW DONT TAKE THIS AS ALL POLITICIANS ARE CORRUPT... but many are...
4) now what does a common man do ... only vote .. and he has to choose between different thugs...MIND IT WHEN WE VOTE WE VOTE FOR PARTICULAR MP AND MLA AND NOT THE PARTY .. THE PARTY MAY BE GOOD BUT THE REPRESENTATIVE MAY BE AS BAD...!!!
5) i thought why not be a leader and come on stage ... NA BABA I DONT WANT TO GET INTO THE MURKY WORLD OF POLITICS .. I DONE TAKE BRIBE AND I HATE GIVING BRIBE AND SOMETIMES I HAVE TO MINCE MY FRUSTRATION TO GIVE BRIBE... yes you may say complaint and fight bla bla... but that is not the solution ... the system has to improve .. getting 2 or 3 corrupt officials pay for their deeds or getting YOUR WORK done without bribe is a small solution to a big problem...
6) the solution is get to the driving seat.....
7) and Arvind Kejriwal has given lot of people like me a hope to jump into the murky water of politics..
8) you may say no politics is corruption free ... i agree .. but that doesnt mean we should not stand out ... no man is disease free ... but fighting common fever is better than having cancer... and today corruption is the biggest cancer in India...
9) People talk about Vikas ... India has from 1947 till date today come out a very big way in all areas .. we have been having Vikas and i am proud to say that... be it in the field of science .. IT... Automobile ... space technology ... China may be a manufacturing hub... but creativity comes from India and i am proud to be Indian...but my head hangs in shame when we score 38/100 in corruption score ... countries like Brazil .. Ghana.. Mauritius etc have better scores....
10) root out corruption and Vikas is bound to happen... no one can stop us because we Indians are born to rise ... itihaas gawaah hey
